Did you know that parents have a resource to use to help answer questions and get support? SEDOL's Parent Mentor Program was set up to provide support, training and ongoing technical assistance to parents related to the referral, identification and educational services for children with special needs. The parent mentor's role is to "empower parents to fully participate as a partner in their child's education".

This is a great program that could provide support for you when needed. The program's December workshop is "Reducing Stress and Surviving the Holidays" on Dec. 14, 2007 from 9:30-11 am, at SEDOL administration building. All the information to sign up is listed on SEDOL's website under Parent Mentor Workshop.
